With the help of this function, ChatGPT may store questions, suggestions, and customized changes for a longer period of time. Memories were first available to a limited number of users, but OpenAI has recently made them available to ChatGPT Plus subscribers outside of Korea and Europe.
Memory uses two different mechanisms to personalize ChatGPT’s responses, which improves the conversational experience. Firstly, users can tell ChatGPT to remember things for future chats. Secondly, it learns from similar talks to be smarter and more responsive, like other modern algorithms. This brings ChatGPT closer to its goal of being a smart AI assistant that understands user preferences without constant reminders.

OpenAI hasn’t revealed why they excluded European and Korean markets from the initial memory launch. Nevertheless, they commit to advancing conversational AI, emphasizing the importance of memory in enhancing user experiences and boosting productivity in human-AI interactions.
